fishing

Laurentian Lodge boasts access to a superb lake trout fishery on Flack Lake. There are more than 4,000 lakes in the area, some over 200 feet deep, so opportunities for speckle and rainbow trout, bass and pike are also plentiful. Boats and motors are available to rent from the Lodge by the day or week.

hiking

Laurentian Lodge borders on Mississagi Park, known for its scenic hiking trails along the shorelines of Canadian Shield lakes. The Horne Lake, Firetower Lookout, and the Cobre Lake trails are also easily accessible nearby. There is a lot to see as the area boasts some of the most magnificent and geologically significant rock formations in the world, not to mention abandoned logging camps and mines from a bygone era.

If you don’t have a canoe, you can rent one at Laurentian Lodge, complete with lifejackets, paddles, and safety kits.
