established in 1929

Originally built as a fly-in fishing and hunting lodge in the early 1930’s, Laurentian Lodge has gradually been transformed into a tranquil gem of a wilderness retreat, suitable for either the avid sportsperson, or the family seeking great ‘get together’ time.

Bordering on Mississagi Provincial Park, known for its scenic hiking trails along the shorelines of Canadian Shield lakes, Laurentian Lodge boasts access to a superb lake trout fishery on Flack Lake, and abundant spec, bass, and pike opportunities in any one of the many surrounding lakes and streams.

Hunting opportunities abound for black bear, moose, deer, and bird, in season, in the miles of Crown land surrounding the Lodge.

Laurentian Lodge is one of the best family destinations in the area. There is lots of space for kids to run around, and they’ll love the step-like waterfalls and pools that descend from Flack to Mikel Lake, just outside the chalets. As well as two beaches, the lodge also offers tennis and a central hot-tub and sauna. Boats, motors, canoes, and pedal boats are also available by the day, or by the week.

Enjoy a fine meal or your favourite beverage in our spectacular dining room. Constructed of white pine logs and massive pine trusses, with wood-burning fireplace and outdoor patio, it overlooks the calm waters of Mikel Lake.

Banquet and conference facilities are held in another beautiful white pine log centre fronting on Mikel Lake. Internet access is available in the Lodge, Conference Centre, Motel Rooms and some of the Chalets and Cottages. Let us assist you in planning your next meeting or event.

We look forward to your stay.
